License Terms

• The Free tier grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DPDP Shield with 5 compliance checks on a single machine at no cost.
• The Professional tier grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use all 36 compliance checks, PDF reports, evidence reports, and fix guides on a single machine for one year from the date of purchase.
• Each Professional license is bound to a single Machine ID provided at the time of purchase. The license key will only activate on that machine.
• Enterprise licenses are governed by separate agreements negotiated on a per-customer basis.
• License keys are generated using Ed25519 cryptographic signing and are unique to each purchase. Sharing, redistributing, or tampering with license keys is prohibited.

Usage Restrictions

• You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the DPDP Shield desktop application.
• You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell the application or any license keys.
• You may not use the application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• You may not attempt to circumvent the machine-based license activation mechanism.

Liability Limitations

• DPDP Shield is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• The application is a compliance assessment tool. It does not constitute legal advice and does not guarantee regulatory compliance.
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the application.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the application shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring your organisation's compliance with the DPDP Act 2023 and any other applicable regulations.

Modifications

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
